Gideon Cohen with high-profile talent

About

I caught the production bug early, running the soundboard for my junior high play. In high school I worked my way from stagehand to assistant sound designer and stage manager at a local theater, leading tech crews and calling shows. While earning a BFA in Film & Video Production at the University of Colorado, I joined Program Council, the campus production and events group, and eventually served as Production Manager and then Director. There I produced concerts, events, film screenings, and more, working with acts like Dave Matthews Band, Metallica, and the Warped Tour.

After graduation I moved to Atlanta and worked as a post-production sound designer and audio engineer. I soon missed the pace and collaboration of live production, so I pivoted to producing events and videos as a freelancer. That led to a full-time role at Turner’s GameTap, where I coordinated content and video production: booking shoots and crews, managing edits, and encoding final releases in the early days of streaming.

Since 2008 I’ve worked as an agency producer. I’ve built lasting relationships with directors, photographers, editors, animators, and production companies. I can flex to the size and scope of the job, no matter the budget: long-form content, quick-turn social, run-and-gun documentary, tabletop food, and everything in between. My approach is organized and decisive: set a clear plan, communicate plainly, protect the creative, and deliver what was promised. I grew up in Boulder, Colorado, and now live in Atlanta with my wife, two sons, and two dogs. If I’m not on set, I’m probably at a show or a baseball game.
